Recently I was contacted by Freed of London, who asked if I would be interested in reviewing a pair of shoes from their new vintage-inspired collection of streetwear shoes. After looking at their lovely designs, I settled on this beautiful pair of 30s/40s dance inspired shoes.
The shoes are ivory leather with silver glitter accents and a diamanté buckle. They aren't dance shoes (although Freed of London do make mostly dance shoes), but they'd be lovely for dancing in. As you'll see in the outfit photos below, I wore these shoes with a rather Christmas-y outfit, but I also think they'd make beautiful and unique wedding shoes.
Freed of London also have great vintage credentials - they've been hand-making dance shoes since 1929, and their shoes are still made in East London. I was really pleased to find out that they are still a British-made brand as I do feel it's important to support brands which are still manufacturing in this country.

I recently bought this 1950s New Look style skirt with a view to wearing it over the Christmas period. Although it's not very clear from these photos, it also has a black swirly design weaving in amongst the silver dots. It goes so perfectly with my new shoes that I of course had to put them together.
My shoes are a UK size 5, which is my usual size from high street stores. They fit perfectly, and I've also not noticed them rubbing my feet at all. The leather is very high quality and I'm sure it will also soften up and mould nicely to my feet over time.

Gorgeous photographs Helen, that's a wonderfully elegant outfit! Also, thank you for sharing this footwear brand with us - I am looking for wedding shoes, and some of these Freed designs are very similar to Rachel Simpson shoes, but at HALF the price!!!!
