Christmas Sparkle

by - 08:30

Last week was really the start of the Christmas period for me as I stayed for the week with my brother in Leeds. We kicked off the week watching a concert given by the jazz orchestra that my brother plays in, who did several jazz standards followed by a medley of music from West Side Story. I didn't take many photos this time (though there will be another post later on with a few photos from a particular outing), but here are a few snaps of things we got up to.

Late 1950s suit, faux fur coat and gloves from Marks and Spencer, shoes from Deichmann, beret and bag from Primark and stockings from What Katie Did.

The weather was pretty bad this week with a lot of rain and wind, so my hair was tucked up inside my beret for almost all the time.

These reindeer are all over the place at the moment. They are similar to these elephants which were exhibited in Nottingham earlier this year

We also visited the Christmas market which was pretty, but we caught it at a quiet time which made for a more subdued atmosphere than last year.

Also on the agenda (not photographed) was shopping, museum visiting, and Christmas dinner.

I LOVE wax seals. I use them occasionally too, especially when sending out christmas cards or handing out gifts. Wax seals add that special touch to anything.

    1. They definitely make things feel very special and important; I didn't want to open my card and break the seal because it seemed such a shame to ruin it!
