These photos are from an outing I had with my family a while ago. We visited a nature reserve with a lovely reservoir and miniature railway, then moved on to a different reservoir for a picnic.
I got real Swallows and Amazons vibes from these houses. Not sure if people actually live in them or if they are just boat houses and summer houses, but I would love to live in one. I'd have a rowing boat and my days would be part Swallows and Amazons, part Wind in the Willows and part Famous Five.
Blouse - Heyday sage spot bow blouse | Skirt - Tara Starlet (previous collection) | Bag - New Look (old)
Socks - Primark | Shoes - Gift from granny | Hair band - high street, New Look maybe
Jacket seen in last photo - Tesco (I think) (old) | Petticoat - made by me
So many people were out enjoying the weather, I thought this lady reading her book by the water made a wonderful picture.
Brother needs a haircut...
This was the first time I have worn this skirt since I bought it. It really needs a petticoat in order to hang well and not be too see-through, but my only white one is a couple of inches too long. I tucked it up a bit under the waistband of my skirt to shorten it but I could do with buying one of the proper length. I would really like a green one or a red one to go under the skirt (maybe both) but I'm a bit worried it would show through.
Anyway, glad to get some wear out of the skirt as it's super sweet. Perfect for summer picnics!

OMG I have that skirt too but I haven't had a chance to wear it yet - saving it for next summer now!
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely wonderful :)
You look wonderful!!! I love the addition of a denim jacket at the end, too. I was just thinking all of about four days ago that I need sport mine (on camera in particular) more often and seeing you look so cute here is a great reminder to do just that.

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice idea to wear the sage green blouse with the red colors. I never would have thought to do that.

You visit the most lovely places, wearing the most loveliest of outfits.
ReplyDeleteLoved how the hair bow {band?} matched your skirt, and the pale green of your blouse ties in nicely too. A very cute outfit indeed! ♡
