As I have mentioned several times before here on Lovebird Vintage, I am pretty heavily into Alice in Wonderland. She's my favourite Disney girl (animated or live action, I enjoy both), and anything that reminds me of Alice in Wonderland generally makes me happy. This original 1950s dress is the perfect shade of Alice in Wonderland blue, and I am truly living my Alice fantasy wearing this. Everything from the delicate chiffon fabric to the lace trims and the buttons down the back (impractical but so lovely) really make this dress extra special.
When I first tried the dress on, I wasn't sure if the colour really suited me but I knew I had to grab it anyway or regret it later. However, I'm glad I gave it a chance because I ended up really liking the end result from this photoshoot.
Now, was that a white rabbit I saw?

What utterly gorgeous photos. You look beautiful and each photo seems to present such a different look. Kx
ReplyDeleteThank you! The photographer, Steve, always gives me copies of the pictures with several different filters which helps to give them different looks. I like being able to choose what style to go for with each picture :)
DeleteBeautiful photos! I'm a big fan of Alice as well, and I think you captured the dreamy mood of the books here. I'm really digging you as a redhead!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm loving the red at the moment as well x
