So here is the skirt I mentioned back in this post which I picked up in the Lindy Bop sale around Christmas time. I loved the sweet garden bird print (and the sweet sale price...) and I'm really pleased with the skirt overall. As you can see, it's a lovely elegant length - not too short and not too long. It's also a full circle so there's plenty of room underneath for petticoats. In this instance I opted to wear it without a petticoat underneath, just for ease of getting it under my coat (which is warm but far too narrow for anything remotely fluffy). I chose this burgundy turtle neck jumper to go with the skirt while the weather is cooler, and I like the way it picks out the same dark red tones in the pattern of the skirt.
In the summer, I'll wear it with a petticoat and pick out some of the lighter colours in the pattern with a blouse, maybe the yellow or blue. I even think the blouse I had from Lindy Bop would go with it.
Anyway, that's about it for now. I have all sorts of things going on again which mean that my opportunities to wear pretty clothes are few and far between, but I'm making the most of every chance I get. It's quite nice to be able to look through and edit my blog photos and see all my nice things which aren't getting as much wear as I'd like at the moment!

A lovely skirt and I like the colour of your jumper as well. I am looking forward to warmer weather so that I can wear more skirts and dresses.

Gorgeous! I'm in love with the colour of your top and how marvelously it compliments this enchanting bird print skirt.
