A couple of weekends ago I visited Kirkstall Abbey and the Abbey House Museum in Leeds. The abbey itself is one of the most complete examples of a Cistercian abbey in the country and is set in some lovely grounds. The Kirkstall Abbey Market was also on whilst we were there, and had some lovely artisan chocolates and coffees, unusual foods and cooking ingredients etc.
The Abbey House Museum is a living history type museum, with Victorian streets and shops that you can walk around. I took photos of everything but as there is no flash photography allowed in the museum, a lot of my photos came out too dark, shaky or grainy to really bother with them. As well as the Victorian things, there were also some other newer exhibits and things for children.
